E-juice, or e-liquid, is a term to describe liquids used in vaporizers. It contains nicotine and is meant to provide users with an alternative to cigarettes. Devices will heat up these juices and convert it to vapor which is then inhaled. We have previously made an article: Finding The Best E-Liquid For You. But this article is talking about e-liquids in general.
Economy E-Liquids vs Premium E-Liquids
Unlike cigarettes, there are thousands and thousands of different brands, flavors, and companies, making it hard to choose for starters. Of course, they all have different prices, so you may be wondering what the difference is between a $10 (EGP 180) for an economy e-juice, and a $25 (EGP 450) for a premium one.
Let’s start with economy juices. They may simply be juices which use food-grade flavouring, and the bottles look simple as well. They will definitely not taste as good as premium e-juices; however, taste is subjective, and some may like it.
Premium e-juices usually consists of multiple food grade flavour extracts, and their bottles typically come in a fancy package. The quality of the nicotine, used in premium juices, is better as well. Flavours are categorized into these two categories, as two different flavours will taste very different from two different companies.
Steeping Juices
You may have come across this term during your vaping journey. As most vapers know, steeping your e-juice is just like letting your wine age, it makes the flavour much better and smoother. The whole purpose of steeping e-juices is to let the flavour come out stronger and deeper and let the nicotine blend completely into the other ingredients.
This makes it very nice to vape on, and completely eliminates any harshness or chemical taste. If you have tried steeping your juices before, you will notice that it will become a darker colour over time. This is due to the oxidation of nicotine, and it will make the colour darker.
Storage Procedures
E-juices have to be stored properly to prevent it from going bad, as they are very sensitive to both light and heat. Storing your juices in a cool, dark, and dry place will help slow down the oxidation process, and this helps to preserve the flavour longer.
Extreme temperatures will negatively change your juices and will not be good to vape on. Similar to soft drinks, storing your juices in a glass bottle will help improve the flavour as well. Definitely don’t leave them in your car where the temperature fluctuates high and low.
Choosing Nicotine Strength
Vaping is designed for smokers who want to kick cigarettes, therefore most juices will contain nicotine. The strength of nicotine is determined by different smokers, if you smoke casually, then a lower percentage of nicotine will work for you.
If you smoke heavy cigarettes daily, then a higher dose will do the trick. Non-smokers are never urged to try and pick up vaping, even with a 0-nicotine juice.
This is just a short guideline for new users curious about e-juices. There is much more information about e-juices out there, so feel free to look it up. Hopefully, this article has helped solve some of your questions about e-juices.
